Global Broadcast Coverage Brings Fans Unparalleled Access to SRO America Sports Car Racing

SRO Motorsports America embarks on its 32nd consecutive season of competition in 2021. With the global market for sports car racing increasing, broadcast television and livestreaming of on-track sessions play an integral part in bringing SRO America’s brand of racing to audiences worldwide. Through our global YouTube livestream channel and national television partners, SRO America strives to bring you the best in sports car racing, whether you’re at the track, at home watching on television, or streaming from anywhere in the world.

This season SRO Motorsports America brings both new and familiar faces to the screen. At the forefront as the new Presenter for the championships, the organization welcomes broadcast reporter Amanda Busick. The North Carolina native and NCSU graduate is embarking on her sixth season on-air with NHRA and has been tapped for other presenting duties including being a Pit Lane Reporter for the Formula E series and serving as Co-host and Reporter for “SPEED SPORT LIVE From”. Additionally, Amanda is the founding partner of Shifting Gears, a female-driven collective dedicated to connecting, advocating and empowering women across the automotive spectrum.

Making the move from pit-lane to the broadcast booth is the familiar face and voice of Pit Lane Reporter turned Lead Commentator Ryan Myrehn. In his new role, Ryan will use his extensive racing knowledge and experience to bring play-by-play action to the fans. Hailing from Indiana, the Communications major parlayed his emcee efforts as a DJ and host at alma mater DePauw University into a career in professional, collegiate and high-school sports broadcasting. During this time he also served as a track announcer at several venues, as well as a writer and podcaster for Sportscar365.com, ultimately leading him in front of the camera and behind a mic as SRO Pit Lane Reporter, and now Lead Commentator.

Returning for another season with the SRO Motorsports America group is veteran commentator Calvin Fish. The driving champion comes from a storied history in racing, reaching back to racing karts as a teen in the ‘70s, to British Formula 3 in the early ‘80s, to his championship Formula Atlantic run in 1987, and wins in the Sebring and Daytona enduros in 1990. Fish focused his trained eye on sports car racing serving as a race analyst and commentator for NBC Sports Network.  Fish will continue to provide his racing insight during the CBS Sports Network broadcasts of SRO Motorsports America championships.

With almost 250,000 subscribers, global GT fans will be able to view all SRO championships, including GT World Challenge, using our GTWorld YouTube channel. Last season, SRO livestreams delivered over 250 Million impressions and 16 Million views from championships like GT World Challenge Europe, Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli, and British GT. Additionally, SiriusXM Satellite Radio returns to offer audio broadcasts of the races as they happen on SiriusXM (382) and on the SiriusXM app (992).

Broadcast partner CBS Sports Network will continue to provide programming packages for all race weekends, with special coverage and programming available for the top-tier Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championships. These special features include weekend race highlights packages bundled in with live race coverage on Sunday competitions. GT America powered by AWS, Pirelli GT4 America and TC America powered by Skip Barber fans will all be able to enjoy a dedicated weekend highlights package.

The SRO Motorsports America championships take to the track on March 5-7 at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California. All races will be livestreamed on the GTWorld YouTube channel, while livestreams and live timing and scoring will be available from each series website. CBS Sports Network live coverage will begin Sunday March 7 at 4:00 pm EST; check your local listings for channel and additional broadcast information.
